Status of the Rule of Law in Iraq and KRI (Newsletter | Issue 2)

Abstract

This second issue highlights Iraq’s transition from strategic design to concrete implementation in enhancing the rule of law. It covers the ongoing collaboration with the World Justice Project (WJP) for international index inclusion, the formulation of institutional sub-plans under the National Rule of Law Strategy (2025–2029), and recent measures to enforce state authority over weapons alongside high-level anti-corruption operations. Additionally, it provides comparative regional insights through judicial modernization in Jordan and a side-by-side strategic analysis with Kosovo.
