UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is the sexual and reproductive health agency of the UN. It works to uphold the rights and choices of women, girls, and young people across more than 150 countries. UNFPA aims to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person can fulfill their potential. The United Nations Population Fund established its specialized program for Iraq in 2008 and opened its first office in the country in 2011. Since then, UNFPA has been working across the country to contribute to improving sexual and reproductive health services, promoting gender equality and women's empowerment, enhancing youth-related programs, and availing population data for sustainable development.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) operates across approximately 170 countries and territories worldwide, serving as the lead sustainable development agency of the United Nations. Dedicated to eradicating poverty, reducing structural inequalities, combatting social exclusion, and building institutional resilience, UNDP plays a pivotal role in driving systemic progress and assisting nations in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Regionally, its strategic operations are guided by the Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) headquartered in New York, which directs comprehensive country offices and regional development programs across 16 Arab nations alongside dedicated operations in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The European Union (EU) is a unique, treaty-based economic and political partnership comprised of 27 European member states, founded initially in 1951 by six originating nations (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands) to foster continental peace, security, and shared economic prosperity. Governed by a distinct institutional architecture dedicated to defending fundamental rights, human freedoms, and democratic values, the EU operates through a network of 7 principal European institutions, 9 specialized bodies, and over 30 decentralized agencies distributed across the continent to implement unified policies and serve the collective interests of European citizens and global humanitarian cooperation.

The World Bank is a prominent international financial institution established in 1944 following the Bretton Woods Conference, primarily tasked with reducing global poverty, mitigating economic disparity, and building shared prosperity through sustainable socio-economic development in developing nations. Composed of interconnected institutions including the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), it provides technical advice, policy counsel, and development loans to governments worldwide across critical infrastructure, education, health, and governance sectors. Its localized regional framework, the Mashreq Program, serves as a strategic initiative focusing on regional economic integration, private sector resilience, climate transition, and socio-economic stabilization in Mashreq nations like Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, with a targeted emphasis on youth job creation and women's empowerment.

Women for Women International (WfWI) is a global humanitarian and development organization founded in 1993, dedicated to supporting women living in marginalized, conflict-affected regions. The organization specializes in a holistic, 12-month social and economic empowerment program that provides excluded women with the foundational knowledge, practical skills, and resources necessary to transcend poverty, assume community leadership, and drive structural change. Operating active country offices across fragile environments—including Iraq, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Palestine, Nigeria, and South Sudan—alongside established sister entities in post-conflict zones, WfWI works to elevate grassroots women leaders into effective change agents while amplifying their voices to influence national and international policy agendas.

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is an independent, nonprofit foundation established in 1983 that is dedicated exclusively to the growth and strengthening of democratic institutions worldwide. Annually distributing more than 2,000 grants across over 100 countries, NED serves as a premier international hub for strategic resources, intellectual exchange, and financial support benefiting nongovernmental groups, activists, and scholars working toward human rights, independent media, and the rule of law. Utilizing a flexible, nongovernmental organizational model, NED specializes in deploying rapid support during complex periods of political transition and supports the organic evolution of civil society, political parties, free markets, and trade unions tailored to the distinct cultural needs of individual nations.

The UNCAC Coalition is a global network established in August 2006 and headquartered in Vienna, Austria, that comprises nearly 400 civil society organizations spanning over 120 countries. The coalition is dedicated to promoting the ratification, systemic implementation, and rigorous tracking of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) across international, regional, and national levels. This framework is further supported by the National Democratic Institute (NDI), a prominent Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization established in 1983 that operates globally to strengthen democratic institutions, safeguard electoral integrity, empower women and youth in political life, and build the structural capacities of civil society networks and local governance frameworks in post-conflict and transitional environments like Iraq.

Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) is a politically independent, membership-based international solidarity organization founded in 1939 as the humanitarian arm of the Norwegian labor movement. Operating in Norway and over 30 countries globally, NPA is dedicated to improving living standards and fostering democratic, equitable, and safe societies through specialized focal areas in mine action, disarmament, sustainable development, and humanitarian relief. Established in Iraq since 1995 and operationally headquartered in Erbil, NPA works in close cooperation with more than 20 domestic partner organizations to champion democratization, human rights education, youth and women's empowerment, and strategic community-led advocacy.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a prominent global humanitarian organization founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, dedicated to assisting individuals affected by conflict, political crises, and natural disasters to survive, recover, and rebuild their lives. Active across more than 40 countries alongside major cities in Europe and the United States, the IRC focuses on emergency health, education, safety, protection, and economic well-being. Operating in Iraq since 2003 through key hubs in Baghdad and Erbil, the IRC provides relief and recovery infrastructure across vulnerable governorates—including Anbar, Kirkuk, Mosul, and Salah al-Din—with specialized country programming centered on protection, early childhood development, legal awareness, and deep integration with local implementing partners.

The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to promoting interreligious and intercultural dialogue to foster mutual understanding, respect, and peaceful coexistence globally. Founded by Saudi Arabia, Austria, Spain, and the Holy See, and headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, the center operates active dialogue platforms, capacity-building tracks, international fellowships, and multi-stakeholder initiatives. KAICIID's core global mission centers on strengthening social cohesion, mitigating conflict and tensions rooted in religious or cultural differences, and providing sustainable peacebuilding frameworks by connecting religious leaders, policymakers, educators, youth, and civil society actors.
